Birders on the west coast rejoice!
Washington state is currently experiencing a rare influx in snowy owls that should linger until March. It is believed that the arctic visitors have flown south due to food shortages or potentially high birth rates over the last year. The snow colored owls have even been spotted as far east as Massachusetts and as far south as Kansas. What a sight!
