Imagine this: A luxurious Christmas themed hotel filled with old world charm nestled in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains, complete with breathtaking views . Yes, such a place exists!
I had the pleasure of staying here last Summer and couldn’t help but take the opportunity and share this place with the fellow Christmas addicts that may read the site. Located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, The Inn At Christmas Place is a wonderful vacation spot packed to the brim with holiday cheer. Not one inch of the hotel is left undecorated and the charm extends well into your room, right down to the ‘Sleep In Heavenly Peace’ mattresses. Calling this place a resort would probably be more accurate, as the famous ‘The Incredible Christmas Place’, (an amazing store, for which the hotel was named) is located across the street, along with the equally amazing ‘The Partridge & Pear Restaurant’. The hotel boasts many room options, some of which contain fireplaces and full-sized Christmas trees. There is a brilliant antique music box playing in the main lobby area that extends to each floor, warm cookies and milk offered nightly, performances by a singing Santa, and a very impressive glockenspiel that goes off hourly with special shows throughout the day. Don’t even get me started on the breakfast! Lets put it this way, there is a ‘A Christmas Story’ shrine outside of the door to the indoor swimming pool. Need I say more? I included a low-res gallery of my 2010 trip below.
