October is flying by so I thought I would post a few original crafts before Halloween comes to a close. Today I made these owl treat boxes out of white pillow boxes that I picked up from my local craft store. They were easy to make and required very few supplies, some of which you may already have!
To make these kitschy party favors:
Cut semi-circles or triangles out of card stock paper using shaped scissors, and if need be cut a curve out of the bottom for where the box folds. Lay your pillow box flat and glue down the card stock using craft glue.
Cut the tip off a pine cone and shape the end using straight scissors, then glue onto your owl. Afterwards apply buttons of your choice for the eyes and glue down. Let dry.
Cut a 12 inch strip of felt and at each end snip with scissors to give the appearance of a scarf. Stuff your owl with your favorite treats and tie the scarf around your completed box. Be sure to get creative with the colors to fit whatever holiday you’re celebrating.
