It’s no secret that I love Yankee Candle. Who wouldn’t after this owl extravaganza I posted about the other day?
I have always had an attachment to smells and the way they tend to record various times in our lives. I love remembering a period of my life I had forgotten by the scent of something later down the road. I am also a sucker for the seasonal and Yankee makes it easy for me to outfit my home with the most amazing seasonal scents one could imagine. Because I am such a candle fanboy, I feel it is only appropriate to share today’s trip to the ‘Yankee Candle Flagship Festival’ in Williamsburg, Va.
They had many events going on today, but what I enjoyed the most was the opportunity to help choose the name and corresponding image for a new candle in their 2013 line. So neat! They also had an official ‘mixologist’ on site who gave us free swag, as well as the chance to buy new scents before they become available later this year. I picked up an owl jar shade, stocked up on the elusive ‘apple pumpkin’, and got the official Williamsburg Va. Flagship Festival jar candle. I love this place! Check out pictures of my last visit here.
