I woke up this morning to find an email in my inbox explaining that a story I had shared a few years back with Jim Harold’s Campfire had been published in his new book, Jim Harold’s Campfire: True Ghost Stories. How exciting! I had to share with the site because not only is this great news for me personally, it is also something seasonally appropriate for the upcoming Halloween season.
Jim has a great paranormal podcast that I stumbled upon a few years ago on iTunes and became an avid listener of his weekly uploads. Eventually he started a second program called Jim Harold’s Campfire which showcases true ghost stories straight from the listeners of his show. I was lucky enough to make the broadcast, and now be selected as one of the stories featured in the book. My story is titled ‘Civil War Phantoms’, and is about my experience as a child growing up on the site of the Battle of Beaver Dam Creek and what happened the night I broke my arm.
I won’t spoil the story by telling it here!
If you’re interested in reading a unique collection of true ghost stories that are sure to scare, be sure to check out the book on Amazon.
