Take a look at this resourceful DIY owl costume idea from alphamom! I’ve always thought it was pretty silly to buy an expensive bagged costume that is typically only used for one night a year. That is unless your kid is going through a superhero/princess phase and have to wear it everywhere they go.
Why not use some spare fabric and give your child a unique costume that you can be proud of? It shouldn’t take very long to make and requires very few supplies that you may already have laying around the house. All you will need is some old clothes that can be cut up for feathers, some fabric glue, sunglasses for the mask frame, and a printer if needed. I would encourage making your own mask and using creative fabric choices to make it even more unique.
